I purchased scrap bundles from Ace & Jig last fall and began sewing them together by hand based on size. I used additional scrap fabric from my own collection when needed. In an effort to speed up the process, I used a sewing machine to finish sewing the strips together.
The piece is hand quilted. The batting is 100% cotton. The scrap side is primarily cotton and hemp, with a few textiles from the Ace & Jig collections containing poly or metallic fibers. The backing and binding are also cotton.
Final dimensions are roughly 60" x 70".
I also quilted two throw pillows - 20x20" and 24"x16" - with zippers for inserts using the remaining scraps and batting.
