As someone who draws inspiration from and romanticizes The West, I have always wanted a pair of wild cowboy boots. I researched a lot of boots, noting heel height, boot shape, and details, and designed my own. From that sketch, I cut pieces of paper and layered them, adorning the paper with stitches and gouache. I used leather from an upholstery sample to create the heel and sole.
